Welcome to the "Israel-Syria Peace Society" Website

The "Israel-Syria Peace Society" is an Israeli movement aiming at the renewal of peace negotiation between Israel and Syria, that will culminate in an enduring peace agreement between the two nations.
The movement believes that such an Israeli-Syrian agreement will substantially enhance the possibility of ending the Arab-Israeli conflict as a whole. We believe that a just and creative agreement about the future of the Golan Heights might signal the beginning of normal relations between the two countries.
On the board of the Israel-Syria Peace Society we can find senior academicians, ex-diplomats, former security officials and prominent Israeli business people.

Major General Amos Yadlin, Chief of Military Intelligence: "Syria's natural place is not in the radical Shiite axis of Tehran-Hezbollah-Hamas. The majority of the Syrians are Sunnis, not Shiites. Syria is a secular state. Therefore Syria is not a natural member of the axis of evil. The strategic circumstances brought it there. Syria has good reasons to make peace with Israel, and it can definitely move to the other camp if it gets the proper quid pro quo. "
